Thanks to this help from different quarters, our missionaries have been able to re-establish in part our disturbed operations, but the number of these missionaries has been diminished by all the catastrophes that have befallen them: fatigue, sickness, persecution, death; Provision has to be made to replace them.

I humbly ask of our Lord, of the apostles and of the holy martyrs, to watch over the future missionaries of the Congo, to protect them, and above all to give them the prudence and ardent zeal which they need and to grant them the grace to do much good for the souls of these poor regions where they are sent.

Session in Lusaka on the protection of minors, day 1

Today, we commenced our training on safeguarding of minors with a solemn opening Mass, presided over by the Provincial Superior of the Southern Africa Province, Fr. Christian Mulenga. In his homily, he exhorted us to be true ambassadors of Jesus Christ in our respective mission places by earnestly protecting those entrusted to our care.
