My dear children, I am with you heart and soul. Not a day passes when I do not think of you, when I do not urge Our Lord to assist you, to alleviate your sorrows, to smooth out your difficulties and above all to give success to your apostolic works.

It is necessary, at all costs, to come to their aid by another route, otherwise we shall see them dying of want, after having been exposed so many times to martyrdom.

You will notice how many different nations are represented in this phalanx of new apostles: France, England, Belgium, Holland, Germany, and Africa itself, as a proof of the apostolic sentiments which animate them all, distinct from any concern of a political nature.
