Jean Lepers

on Monday the 25th March 2019 at the hospital of Fourmies (France)
at the age of 92 years, of which 65 years of missionary life
in Nigeria and in France.

Milestones in the life of Father Jean Lepers

Jean was born on April 8, 1926 in Bondues, then part of the diocese of Lille; today, Bondues is part of the diocese of Cambrai. Jean was admitted to the novitiate of the White Fathers at Maison-Carrée, Algeria, on September 25, 1949. He was then sent to Canada, to Eastview, to complete his training by studying theology. There he took his missionary oath on June 26, 1953 and was ordained a priest on January 30, 1954.
