Hubert Barbier
on Thursday the 19th April 2018 at the hospital of Bry-sur-Marne (France)
at the age of 91 years, of which 65 years of missionary life
in Mali, Sudan and France.

Stepstones of Father Hubert Barbier’s life
Hubert was born on the 8th September in Lyon, in France. From the diocese of Dijon, he entered the Spiritual Year of the Missionaries of Africa on the 1st October 1947 in Maison-Carrée, Algeria. Then he continued his theological training in Tunisia, where he took his Missionary Oath on the 27th June 1952 in Thibar and was ordained to the priesthood on the 5th April 1953 in Carthage.
