Milestones in the life of Father Bernard Joinet
Bernard was born on March 3, 1929 in Nevers, in the diocese of the same name, in France. He was admitted to the novitiate of the White Fathers on September 27, 1950 at Maison Carrée, Algeria. He then continued his theological training at `s-Heerenberg in the Netherlands where he took his missionary oath on July 21, 1954. He was ordained a priest in Monteviot, Scotland, on May 26, 1955.
