on Monday 16th July 2018 at Sélestat (near Strasbourg – France)
at the age of 84 years, of which 56 years of missionary life
in Switzerland, Zambia, Jerusalem, Germany and France.

Milestones in Father Fernand Gruber’s life
Fernand was born on 10 June 1934 in Ingwiller, in the diocese of Strasbourg (France). He entered the novitiate of the Missionaries of Africa on September 27, 1956 at Maison Carrée in Algeria. He continued his theological training at Totteridge (London – Great Britain) where he took his missionary oath on 27 June 1962. He was ordained on 29 June of the following year in Strasbourg.
