on Monday July 16th, 2018 at the hospital of Sierra (Switzerland)
at the age of 93 years, of which 69 years of missionary life
in Tanzania and in Switzerland.

Milestones in Father Karl Zimmermann’s life
Karl was born on 6 March 1925 in Lucerne, in the diocese of Basel, Switzerland. He entered the novitiate (spiritual year) of the Missionaries of Africa on December 2, 1945 at Maison Carrée, Algeria. He continued his theological training in Thibar (Tunisia) where he took his missionary oath on June 29, 1949. He was ordained a priest on 1 February 1950 in Carthage, Tunisia.
