on Friday the 13th October 2017 at Trier (Germany)
at the age of 75 years, of which 46 years of missionary life
in Malawi and Germany.

Gerhard was born on the 11th October 1942 at Mannheim, in the Diocese of Freiburg/M. He joined the Spiritual Year on the 1st September 1967 at Hörstel in North-Western Germany. He then continued his theological training at Totteridge (North London) where he pronounced his Missionary Oath on the 18th April 1971 before being ordained to the priesthood at Hettingen (Germany) on the 17th of June 1973.
